Ubaka U Rwanda and Their Own Center

We are already starting the fundraiser stronger than last year's. An extremely generous supporter will be matching the money we raise up to $10,000! We decided that the matched amount will go to another organization I work closely with and happen to live with when in Rwanda. They are called

Ubaka U Rwanda

and you can learn more about them on their page. They are a home for street children that provides everything for the kids that any child deserves. I am happy to call them my family as well, as I live with them in Rwanda among the 30+ kids. It is amazing to see their progress each year. They are doing amazing.

Previousely, my main focus was coordinating our

sponsorship

program. We have many of the kids sponsored now but not all. If this is something you are interested in please

contact me

. Currently though, we have raised enough money to buy land and will be shortly. At this time, we have been paying rent each month for a home that can barely fit the kids and volunteers. It is the running costs such as rent that make each month a struggle to keep the project running so that that the kids do not have to live in fear of going back to the streets.

In the future, when we are able, we will build our own purpose built center. This center will be as self sustainable as possible and will cut our running costs down incredibly so. It will allow us to take in more kids, and so many other good things. With this matching

donation

, we will have serious potential to start building in the near future and make this once distant dream, a reality.

It will be amazing to think that each dollar that is

donated

for food today for the children of the Muhumurize Catch-Up School, will also be donating a dollar to secure the future of so many other street kids for years and years to come through Ubaka U Rwanda!
